13 Injured in Semi-truck Crash With Broken-down Bus Carrying Military Personnel
Thirteen people were injured when a semi-truck collided with a bus carrying military members on the New Jersey Turnpike on Wednesday.
The collision occurred on the NJ Turnpike near Interchange 3 in Runnemede, New Jersey, around 1 p.m., on November 13th.
According to 6ABC, the bus was transporting military men when it broke down between the right and breakdown lanes of the road. A semi-truck then collided with the back of the bus, severely destroying the front part of the rig and wounding thirteen persons.
NBC Philadelphia reported that one person in uniform was taken away on a stretcher. The truck driver was one of 13 persons injured in the incident. No information about injuries has been published.
The incident resulted in congestion of up to one mile. The accident is still being investigated.
