LAS VEGAS – 18 men have been nabbed after a joint undercover operation in North Las Vegas that targeted child sex predators.
The people who were caught were Andres Herrera-Rodriguez, 34; Trevor Moody, 24; and Jordan James, 22.
Those who died were Jose Haro Castaneda, 46; Jacob Miller, 23; Jesse Baca, 37; Marc Carofano III, 28; and Giovanni
Arcenio Lagas Jr., 24, Jaret Ward, 26, Renato Moreno, 45; Cruz, 30; Naranjo, 31;
Jason Creech, 48; Wilberth Maldecino, 32; Roy Romero, 30; Leon Park, 40; and Manuel Cruz, 29. All of them are being charged with using a computer to get a child to have sex.
A 60-year-old man named Michael Reider was also taken and is being charged with attempted sexual Assault of a Minor under 14.
It happened on August 22 and 23 as part of a joint operation with the FBI, North Las Vegas police, Henderson Police, Homeland Security Investigations, US Air Force, and Las Vegas Metro police.

Police want parents to talk to their kids about how dangerous it is to chat with people online. To keep their kids from falling victim to child sex predators, parents are told to regularly check what their kids are doing on social media and other apps. This operation was part of ongoing attempts in our community to protect children and cut down on violent crime.
