30-year-old Arrested for Stabbing His 68-year-old Mother to Death in Texas
On Wednesday night, a man walked into a Wendy’s in Texas City, bloodied. Authorities eventually charged him with murder for allegedly stabbing and killing his 68-year-old mother.
Officers responded to a Wendy’s on Palmer Highway/FM 1764 soon before 8:00 p.m., after Jonathan Taylor, 30, walked in covered in blood and claimed to have been robbed.
Upon arrival, detectives discovered many knife wounds on his arms. During questioning, Taylor admitted to assaulting his mother, Regina McIntyre, at their house in the 2900 block of Tarpey Avenue.
When Texas City officers arrived at the home, they discovered McIntyre lying on the kitchen floor with multiple stab wounds. She was taken to the Level 1 Trauma Center at UTMB Health’s John Sealy Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
After receiving treatment for his injuries, Taylor was arrested and charged with murder. He is currently being held in the Galveston County Jail under a $500,000 bail.
Authorities are still probing the facts behind the tragedy.
