Florida, Dunnellon Owner is Accused of Breaking into Tenant’s Home and Stealing Over $2,000 Worth of Things!
CNS News– A 48-year-old landlord in Dunnellon, Florida, is facing felony charges after allegedly breaking into a tenant’s home and stealing over $2,000 worth of items. The landlord, Asherlee Jeannette Armstrong, is also accused of asking a child to pull methamphetamine from her pocket while she was being arrested.
The incident occurred on Friday, March 22, when two Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call regarding a residential burglary. The female tenant/victim reported that her home had been broken into while she was in the process of being evicted and staying with a friend nearby.
The victim stated that her home was intact when she left it on Wednesday, March 20, but when she returned on Friday, she noticed that the front door was open and the lock was broken. Several items were reported missing, including dishes, a “duck set,” a car stereo, and other items.
The deputies made contact with Armstrong, who admitted to being at the victim’s residence that morning to post a writ of possession. She claimed that she entered the victim’s garage without permission and removed multiple items, which she claimed were trash. However, Armstrong refused to elaborate on the items that were taken.

Before a pat-down search, Armstrong allegedly instructed a nearby child to reach into her pocket and remove everything inside it. The child removed a piece of folded tinfoil containing a white crystalized substance, which later tested positive for methamphetamine.
Armstrong was placed under arrest and is currently facing charges of unarmed burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, grand theft, tampering with evidence, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, cruelty toward a child, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She is being held on a $17,000 bond with a court date scheduled for April 23. The incident highlights the serious legal consequences of breaking into a tenant’s home and the dangers of involving children in criminal activities.
