Teen Boy Was Shot on the West Side of Chicago, and Two Guys Are Being Charged With Attempted Murder

CHICAGO — At this time, two males from Chicago are being charged with criminal offenses in connection with the shooting of a young kid on the West Side of the city at the beginning of June.

Angel Ramirez, 35 years old, and Thomas Garcia, 30 years old, both of whom reside in Little Village, have been charged with one felony count of attempted first-degree murder, according to the Chicago Police Department.

A shooting that reportedly took place in the 2700 block of South Komesnky Avenue on Tuesday, June 11, just before 8:30 p.m., is the basis for the allegations that have been brought against the defendant.

By the police, Ramirez and Garcia are accused of opening fire on a young child who was 14 years old, causing him to sustain injuries.

It is not known what may have led to the shooting, and the authorities have not offered any new information regarding the condition of the teenager.

On Tuesday, both of the men are scheduled to appear in court for hearings on their custody.
