A man from Mississippi who is 70 years old was caught in Florida for selling cocaine and having drug equipment.
A deputy from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office (SRCSO) was arrested on July 10 during a traffic stop. He was pulled over for a traffic error while driving a 2021 Chevy Malibu that was registered in Mississippi.
According to the deputies, Johnson had gone from Mississippi to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and was now on his way back when the stop happened. During the traffic stop, the cops had a good reason to think that Johnson was up to no good.
When the person agreed to the search, officers found a vacuum-sealed package with just under half a pound of cocaine inside. After that, Johnson was caught and charged with drug trafficking and having drug tools.
