A Texas couple was taken into custody by authorities from Washington County after they were found to have tied their daughter, who was 15 years old, to a tree with a ratchet strap and then left her outside.
According to the deputies, family members had called them out to Vera because the girl had been restrained for three days previously.
According to what they stated, they discovered the girl tied to the tree with a bandage covering her leg as she was sitting on a carpet square.
According to the deputies, they had a conversation with the girl’s father, Johnny James, who informed them that he tied her up because she tended to lie and could not regulate her bowel movements.
According to what they stated, he told the deputies that he did it just when they were unable to keep a watch on her.
James and Kayla Clark, his girlfriend, were taken into custody by deputies on charges of child abuse and neglect.
