Police say a guy from North Carolina hit a Lowe’s employee with a sledgehammer and stole a drill set. He was then arrested.
Police in Durham say that 25-year-old Aaron Deshown Williams was arrested on warrants for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, major injury, and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Police say Williams took a hatchet from his shopping cart while the Lowe’s worker was helping him and hit the worker in the head with it.
Police say the customer ran out of the shop after grabbing a drill set box when the victim fell to the ground.
The person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but their situation is now stable.
Police say that William also had an active warrant for having a gun while being a criminal. He is being held in the Durham County Jail without bond right now.
