DE PERE, Wis. – A Green Bay woman was taken into custody on September 19 for allegedly resisting arrest, just days after being sentenced for her involvement in a tragic house fire that claimed the life of her 11-month-old nephew.
According to a criminal complaint, 20-year-old Marcelia Fonseca was arrested at the Probation and Parole Office in De Pere. Officers were called to assist in her apprehension due to an outstanding warrant for a parole violation related to a disturbance from the previous week.
The complaint details that when authorities arrived, Fonseca began verbally resisting their commands. Officers noted her history of similar behavior, which complicated the arrest process.
