Food Stamp Checks Up to $1,756 Begin October 4 in These States: SNAP Payment Details

On October 1, some states began providing SNAP money to eligible beneficiaries. However, not all have started on that day, and a handful will begin delivering Food Stamps on October 4.

According to the USDA and the Food and Nutrition Service, the following states will begin issuing SNAP benefits on April 4th: Alabama, Arkansas, Maryland, Minnesota, and Mississippi.

Eligibility for SNAP Payments on October 4 in Alabama and Arkansas

Alabama will send food stamps from October 4th until October 23rd. To find out when your payment is due, check the last two digits of your SNAP case number. For instance, if your case number ends in 00-04, your payment will appear on your EBT card on October 4.

Apart from Alabama, Arkansas will begin delivering Food Stamps on October 4. However, the state of Arkansas will only send SNAP benefits through October 13. You will also need to check your Social Security number (SSN). SSN ending in 0 or 1 entitles you to Food Stamps on October 4.

Individuals can receive up to $292 following the 2025 COLA hike. Families of four can get up to $975, while children under the age of eight can receive up to $1,756. These maximum amounts are the same throughout the 48 contiguous states.

Eligibility for SNAP Benefits Payments on October 4 in Maryland, Minnesota, and Mississippi

Maryland will distribute SNAP benefits from October 4 to October 23. The first three letters of your last name are used in this state, according to USDA. For example, if your last name’s first three letters are between AAA and BAO, your Food Stamps will be mailed on October 4.

Minnesota residents should check their case numbers. If it finishes in 4, your Food Stamps will be loaded onto your EBT card on October 4. If it ends in a 1 on the 11th, it will be 0 on the tenth.

Last but not least, SNAP benefits in Mississippi. Even if they begin on October 4, checks will be distributed until October 21, 2024. According to the USDA, you must check the last two digits of your case number. Those whose numbers conclude in 00-04 will receive money on October 4.
