47-year-old Man Killed, Another Critically Injured in Early-morning Shooting Outside Salisbury Bar
After an early-morning shooting in a bar’s parking lot, one man was killed and another critically injured.
Officers rushed to the parking lot of the 100 block of East Innes Street around 2:50 a.m. on Saturday in response to reports of shots fired. When authorities arrived, they reported finding two persons with gunshot wounds.
Donald James Krajnyak, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The other victim was sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. They are still in critical condition, according to authorities.
The suspect has been identified as 23-year-old Alexus Burshell Bost. She faced charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. She was detained in the Rowan County Detention Center with no bond.
The Salisbury Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the incident.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations, Granite Quarry Police Department, Spencer Police Department, North Carolina Highway Patrol, and Rockwell Police Department all cooperated in the investigation.
