Chicago Shooting: 26-year-old Fatally Injured in Auburn Gresham as Witnesses Remain Silent
CHICAGO — Chicago police said that witnesses were unhelpful after a man, age 26, was shot in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the Southwest Side of the city. The guy eventually passed away at a hospital as a result of his injuries.
It was approximately 10:15 p.m. when shots were fired in the vicinity of the man, who was standing with other individuals in an empty lot located in the 7900 block of South Ashland Avenue, as stated by the police.
After receiving three blows to the left side of his body and one to his arm, the victim was transported to a nearby hospital in severe condition. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
According to the police, witnesses who were present at the scene were “very uncooperative” and refused to comment about the incident with the cops.
Detectives from Area Two are conducting an investigation, but nobody has been taken into custody.
