One Dead, Three Injured in Murfreesboro Crash: Police Investigating Two-vehicle Collision

An accident in Murfreesboro on Tuesday afternoon killed one person and injured three others, according to authorities.

At around 12:14 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, the Murfreesboro Police Department turned to social media to notify the public of a two-vehicle crash. Police said the crash occurred around 11 a.m. on Veterans Parkway near Kingdom Drive. The section of road remained closed while crews worked to remove the scene.

According to officials, westbound traffic was redirected onto Kingdom Drive, Overall Creek, and Jack Byrnes Drive. Meanwhile, eastbound traffic was diverted away from the incident scene. Motorists were encouraged to seek alternative routes.

The Fatal Accident Crash Team is investigating the cause of the crash. No other information was immediately available.
