NORTHLAKE, Texas – Interstate 35 West in Northlake was closed Wednesday due to a fatal crash in the northbound lanes at State Highway 114.
According to a Facebook post from the Town of Northlake shortly after 5:20 p.m., the police department is on the scene near the 72-mile marker.
The town cautioned vehicles of delays while the inquiry was being conducted.
The Texas Department of Transportation cameras in the vicinity showed a massive backup of cars attempting to exit onto the frontage road.
The number of vehicles involved in the incident, as well as the number of individuals killed or injured, are still unknown.
