A pickup truck struck and killed a pedestrian crossing in a Vista crosswalk on Wednesday, authorities said.
The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, was at the junction of East Vista Way and Townsite Drive when he was struck by a 2024 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a lady in her 30s at 5:13 p.m., according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
Despite lifesaving efforts, the guy died from his injuries on the site.
The motorist stayed at the site and cooperated with investigators. According to authorities, neither party seemed to be under the influence of alcohol. The Vista Traffic Division is in charge of the current inquiry.
