16-year-old Arrested for Murder After Fatal Shooting of 21-year-old in Garland
A 16-year-old suspect has been arrested after allegedly shooting and murdering a 21-year-old man on Saturday, according to the Garland Police Department.
According to a GPD announcement, police responded to a firearms disturbance in the 3200 block of W. Buckingham Road approximately 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
Officers discovered a 21-year-old guy from Richardson who had been shot, according to the release. According to Garland PD, the individual was transferred to a local hospital and died.
GPD stated they then deployed a K9 to track down the subject, who fled the scene. The K9 tracked down the suspect, a 16-year-old Sachse High School student, according to GPD.
The teenager was brought into custody and charged with murder. He is being housed in the Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center.
