Motorcyclist Critically Injured in South Mountain Crash, Phoenix Police Report
A motorcycle rider was hospitalized after a crash on South Mountain on Sunday morning.
Around 11:50 a.m., Phoenix police were dispatched to the intersection of Telegraph Pass Road and Stephen Mather Drive on South Mountain for an accident.
Officers and firefighters arrived to find a biker, later identified as 28-year-old Edward Perez Severino, with critical injuries. Perez Severino was sent to the hospital in critical condition.
According to preliminary information, Perez Severino was driving eastward on the road up to South Mountain when he attempted to make a left turn and crashed.
Two additional riders reported they arrived at the site after the crash occurred. They immediately contacted 911 and lifted Perez Severino out of the crash site.
