A Crawford County lady died of injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident near Rudy on Sunday morning.
Helen J. Irvin, 81, of Chester, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet eastbound on Arkansas 282 just east of the intersection with Pecan Grove Road at 9:45 a.m. when the accident happened, according to an Arkansas State Police fatal collision summary.
According to the report, the Chevrolet drove off the road to the right, colliding with a tree.
Irvin was brought to Mercy Hospital Fort Smith, but she died of her injuries, according to the report.
The weather was clear at the time of the incident, and the road was dry, according to the report.
