CNS News–An audacious robbery unfolded in New York City’s East Village when a masked quartet stormed a local deli, threatening the cashier at gunpoint and executing a heist that was captured on surveillance footage. The NYPD reported the incident occurred around 8 a.m. on a Wednesday, setting a tense scene in the neighborhood bodega located on East Eighth Street, near Avenue D.
The released video footage provides a stark visual account of the robbery, showcasing one of the assailants brandishing a firearm at a 57-year-old deli worker. His accomplices were seen pilfering the cash register, demonstrating a coordinated effort among the robbers.
The culprits successfully absconded with an undisclosed sum of money and tobacco products, leaving the deli worker shaken but physically unharmed. Despite the ordeal, the worker declined any medical treatment offered by the responding officers.
