The accident occurred just before 12:15 a.m. on a Tuesday, near the 34th Street-Herald Square station. Joseph, part of a cleaning crew, was struck by a northbound D train while performing his duties.
Joseph suffered critical injuries and was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he later passed away.
