A Former Doctor in Tyler Has Been Charged With Multiple Counts of Sexual Abuse and Practicing Medicine Without a License
TYLER, Texas – A former doctor in Tyler whose license was taken away in June 2023 has been charged with sexual abuse and practicing medicine without a license.
Kenneth Haygood, 55, was arrested in February on three counts of sexual assault and one count of aggravated sexual assault of a kid. The charges came after an investigation into him began in November 2023. His medical license had been taken away by the medical board before for bad behavior.
The arrest warrant said that one of Haygood’s restrictions was that he couldn’t see, examine, or handle female patients.
The Texas Medical Board said that after the June order, Haygood did not get permission before physically examing a female patient and texted the patient’s family about the exam “to try to scare them into not being witnesses.”
As of May 9, Haygood was charged with six counts of sexual assault and one count of aggravated sexual assault of a kid. On June 20, he was also charged with practicing medicine without a license.
