Police say that a woman who might be homeless took a 4-year-old girl from a restaurant in California.

Police in Santa Monica said that a “frantic” grandmother called them at 12:11 p.m. local time while she and her 4-year-old granddaughter were having lunch at Panda Express.

Authorities say that police were on the scene “within minutes” desperately looking for the child who had gone missing.

Video pictures of possible suspects were quickly collected by the police, who then sent more units to the area around the restaurant.

For the suspect, police said they had more than 30 cops looking for them.

The suspect was seen on video to be a heavyset white woman in her 30s.

The suspect and the child were found in a room at the Holiday Motel at 12:37 p.m.

“Thankfully, the child was unharmed, and the suspect was taken into custody,” officers said.

“No stone was left unturned,” the police said of their review.

“Our heartfelt best wishes go out to the child and her family as they deal with the shock of this ordeal,” officials said. “We will do everything we can to make sure they are helped through this time and also to make sure no stone is left unturned in the investigation.”

Police said the suspect was booked on charges of kidnapping, but they did not give her name right away.

After a homeless guy beat up a 73-year-old woman in May, the woman is now said to have been taken away.

The woman told police that she was on her daily morning walk when she tried to move out of the way so he could pass. However, “he intentionally pushed her to the ground,” which hurt her back and cut her hands, the woman said.

A homeless man was caught about a week before for trying to rape a woman who was jogging.

One person who lives in Santa Monica said that the “beautiful coastal town” is “not what it was.”
