People getting on an American Airlines flight had to be ushered out because a laptop that was in a carry-on bag seemed to catch fire.

As soon as possible, early Friday afternoon, both the emergency slides and the jetbridge were used to evacuate American Airlines flight 2045 from San Francisco to Miami, the company told Fox News Digital.

After everyone had been safely evacuated back to the station, the San Francisco Fire Department arrived on the scene to put out the fire.

“Three minor injuries were reported during the evacuation, and one of them needed to be taken to the hospital,” SFFD said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

“While people were getting on American Airlines flight 2045 from San Francisco (SFO) to Miami (MIA), smoke was seen coming from a customer’s bag.” “Our crew quickly took the bag off, and all of our customers got off the plane,” said an American Airlines statement.

Nobody knows if the plane, an Airbus A321, was damaged in any way by the crash.

“We thank our crew members for their professionalism and apologize to our customers for the inconvenience,” said the airline.
