IN OMAHA, NE – The guy who was found guilty of killing a woman south of Topeka was given life in prison.
Scott was given life in prison for murder on May 30 and 45 to 60 years in prison for two other charges. KETV in Omaha says that he has been given credit for 532 days of service.
At the end of December 2022, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in Nebraska said that 47-year-old Aldrick L. Scott from Topeka had been caught in Belize. The 43-year-old Nebraska woman Cari Allen has not been seen or heard from since September.
According to KETV, there was a lot of proof that Scott followed Allen around and killed him in 2022. Police said Scott drove from Topeka to Nebraska, used Snapchat to track her, and then waited at her house for more than an hour.
The defense said Scott ran away in fear and acted in self-defense. KETV says Scott took the stand and said that he and Allen fought over a gun before it went off and killed Allen.
