A Massachusetts Man Who Had Been Missing in South Carolina Was Discovered Dead Underneath a House, According to Officials
On Monday, authorities believe they found a deceased Massachusetts man who had been missing for more than a week under a South Carolina house.
Officers responding to a suspicious activity report at a Sea Pines property around 11:30 a.m. believe they discovered the corpse of 60-year-old Stanley Kotowski underneath the house around 3:30 p.m., according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
The Beaufort County Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy on Tuesday to determine the body’s identity as well as the cause and manner of death.
On August 16, a guy from Massachusetts was reported missing while on vacation with his family in Hilton Head.
Kotowski’s wife claims he suffered severe sleeplessness in the previous month, although it’s unclear whether this had anything to do with his absence.
“His anxiety only became worse and worse. And he became a little paranoid. “He thought someone was chasing him,” Jackie Kotowski explained.
