Five people were killed by a man in North Las Vegas, Nevada, on Monday, June 24. The man killed himself on Tuesday, June 25, according to the Associated Press, ABC KTNV 13, and Fox 5.

Eric Adams, 47, was thought to be the gunman who killed many people on Monday night. He killed himself on Tuesday morning, according to the North Las Vegas Police Department.

Adams was wanted by police after he shot and killed five people and seriously hurt a 13-year-old girl in an apartment complex near Commerce Street and Lone Mountain Road.

The five victims were found by police. There was a guy in his early 20s and four women, one in her early 40s, one in her late 50s, and two in her mid-20s. The 13-year-old girl was taken to University Medical Center, but her situation is still very bad.

First, the two women in their 40s and 50s were found. During the investigation, the police were told that a teenager had been taken to the hospital and that there might be more victims. After that, the police found the bodies of the young woman and man.

After being shot, Adams ran away from the scene. The police searched for Adams all night because they said he was “armed and dangerous,” according to the Associated Press.

ABC 13 reports that he wasn’t found until Tuesday around 10 a.m., when cops found him at a business in the 1500 block of Lake Mead Boulevard, close to M.L.K. Boulevard. He then ran away into the backyard of a house nearby.

The police then told him to drop his gun, but he refused, so he killed himself with the gun. At the scene, they said he was dead.

The shooting of Adams was called a “isolated incident” by the police, according to the Associated Press.

When PEOPLE asked the North Las Vegas Police Department for more information on Tuesday, they did not reply right away.
