After a Dangerous Standoff in Mississippi, a Murder Suspect From Kentucky Was Captured

After a tense standoff in Coffeeville on Saturday, U.S. Marshals caught a guy wanted in connection with a shooting that killed someone in Kentucky.

Desmond Shaw, 34, was arrested after locking himself inside a house on Wayne Drive for about an hour, according to the police. Police surrounded the house, and Shaw finally turned himself in without any problems.

There are many charges against Shaw, such as murder, first-degree domestic assault, first-degree criminal mischief, and theft by illegal taking involving a firearm. These charges are related to a shooting that happened in Jefferson County, Kentucky, on July 22. The shooting started as a verbal argument between people in two stopped cars that turned violent.

During the incident, a guy was shot in the head and later died. Two women were also shot and are now healing from their injuries.
