Eligible residents of Alaska can now submit applications for the 2024 Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend program, with the application period open until March 31.
This program provides Alaska residents with an annual direct payment calculated based on the state’s mineral revenues for the respective year.
Applications can be submitted either online or using a paper form.
Annual Application for Alaska Fund Dividend
Even individuals who have received payments from the program in previous years must submit an application within the designated application period to receive a payment for the current year.
While the standard application window runs from January to March, there are certain exemptions that permit residents to apply after the regular application period.
These exceptions, along with the status of an application, can be accessed on the program’s website.
The Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend disburses varying payment amounts to qualified residents each year.
To be eligible for the state program, applicants must demonstrate a commitment to maintaining Alaska residency indefinitely and must not have a felony conviction, among other criteria.
In 2023, eligible individuals received checks valued at $1,312, with distribution commencing in October and ongoing for residents who have yet to receive their payment.

The initial batch of payments was sent out on January 18, with the subsequent round following promptly on February 15.
Individuals with applications marked as Eligible-Not Paid status as of March 14 should anticipate receiving their checks on March 21.
Alaska Department of Revenue Commissioner Adam Crum remarked on the 2023 payments, noting that the state processed over 8,000 more applications than in the previous year.
He highlighted that the 2023 Permanent Fund Dividend will inject nearly $1 billion into the state’s economy, directly benefiting Alaskans.
