Prescott Valley, Arizona. — A California citizen was recently arrested in Arizona after reportedly transporting hundreds of suspected fentanyl tablets.
The Prescott Valley Police Department said Bibianna Hinesley, 30, was detained after investigators allegedly discovered a large amount of narcotics in the driver’s car Tuesday night.
Hinesly was pulled over on Navajo Drive and Florentine Road before being lodged in Yavapai County Jail.
According to the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Phoenix division, law enforcement agents in Arizona recovered over 40 million fentanyl tablets and 380 pounds of fentanyl powder in 2023. Last year, the federal agency said it established a record for the amount of fentanyl collected in a single year.
