Early Morning Head-on Collision in Lincoln Park Leaves Woman in Critical Condition
A woman suffered serious injuries in a head-on incident on the city’s North Side, according to police. The collision occurred on Sunday around 12:50 a.m. in the 2600 block of N. Ashland Avenue, according to CPD.
A 21-year-old woman was driving a white sedan northbound when she collided with a silver vehicle traveling southbound, according to authorities.
The 21-year-old sustained many cuts to the head and a leg injury but was transported to the hospital in good condition.
Police did not elaborate on the fracture suffered by the front-seat passenger, a 23-year-old lady. She was rushed to the hospital and is likely to be OK.
The third passenger in the white vehicle declined medical attention.
The driver of the silver automobile was a 41-year-old male. He sustained minor injuries but rejected care, according to authorities.
A 44-year-old woman sat in the backseat of the silver automobile. She received many facial injuries and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
A 35-year-old male was also in the backseat. He also got several cuts on his face but was expected to be fine.
Chicago police say tickets were issued while the investigation continues.
