A guy was shot on Chicago’s South Side early Friday morning by an uninvited guest who was said to be the ex-boyfriend of the host’s sister.
The fight took place in the 6700 block of South Eberhart Avenue, in the middle of Woodlawn, at 3:50 a.m.
Reports from the Chicago Sun-Times say that the 44-year-old host got into a “brief altercation” with the shooter and was shot in the left thigh and left hand. The shooter then left the scene.
A man had been found shot multiple times in the same block just a few months before this. It was a very strange and deadly echo. At 11:50 a.m. on September 23, 2022, a 28-year-old man was found outside seriously hurt. The person was hit in the chest, leg, and buttocks, and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center right away. They are in very bad shape. The Chicago Police Department says that officers from Area One were left to piece together what happened with the shooting since no one had been arrested.
