Fatal Accident: Pedestrian Hit and Killed on I-265 While Moving Item From Highway
LOUISVILLE, Ky.- On Monday afternoon, a pedestrian was struck and killed on Interstate 265 in southern Jefferson County.
According to Louisville Metro Police spokesperson John Bradley, the incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. in the Gene Snyder Freeway’s southbound lanes approaching Preston Highway. Bradley said the man was hit while attempting to move something out of the road, likely a ladder.
According to Bradley, the crash involved two more cars. However, it’s unclear whether the victim was hit by more than one car.
He was sent to UofL Hospital but died from his injuries. Bradley said the drivers of all three automobiles involved were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
