On Tuesday afternoon, October 22, 2024, a crash on State Route 905 in Otay Mesa, San Diego, killed one person and injured another.
According to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, the collision occurred shortly after 2:20 p.m., and emergency responders arrived about 15 minutes later.
At least one person died on the spot, while another was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries.
Caltrans San Diego reported that all westbound lanes of SR-905 at Britannia Boulevard were closed, and traffic was being rerouted between Britannia and La Media Road.
The cause of the crash remains unknown. Further information is pending while authorities do their investigation.
