Father Arrested After Allegedly Abducting 18-month-old From Daycare, Found in Pawtucket
A child who was taken by his father from a daycare in Massachusetts on Thursday was found safe in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
Police said Nathan Dorosario went into the daycare in Canton and took his 18-month-old son. Police said he broke a court order that was made just two days ago.
Around 3:30 p.m., the hurried search began in Canton. People in the baby’s family say Dorosario went to the daycare where the mom also works, pushed his way in, grabbed the child, and ran away.
The cops in Pawtucket said they found the suspect’s car after a license plate reader picked it up. “A location was pinpointed and the alleged suspect and child were located safely by Patrol,” Pawtucket officers said.
The dad’s car was quickly found on Webster Street in Pawtucket by police. There were a lot of police cars around the spot. He is seen on surveillance film walking across a parking lot with a baby on his back to get to an adult outreach center.
Krykette Kowalski saw the arrest happen. Along with hearing the baby cry, she saw police officers on foot close in on the dad.
“I have seen a lot of cops out here surrounding a baby and a guy that was holding the baby,” he said. “The cops asked the guy to put the baby down, he didn’t want to.”
He said, “All they did was ask for the baby, they were calm.” “He put the baby down on the ground, the cops looked at the baby and then fire trucks came.”
Our little one was taken to the hospital to be checked out. Dorosario is being held because he is wanted by the police in Massachusetts.
