MediaiteFeds say a 58-year-old former high school teacher who pleaded guilty to looking for sex acts with a 16-year-old in California will go to jail.

News from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California on June 13 said that Sean Stevenson, who was a high school science teacher at the time at San Diego’s University City High School, thought he was meeting with a 16-year-old to have sex.

Prosecutors say Stevenson was looking for business sex with a woman who said her name was Kash.

The police say Stevenson offered Kash “a premium” to bring him a girl younger than 18.

Sources say Stevenson told Kash via text message, “The younger the better.”

Sources say that Stevenson said, “Not young enough” when Kash mentioned an 18-year-old.

Prosecutors say that the conversations went on with an undercover agent after Kash was arrested as part of the sex trafficking probe.

People in charge say that’s when the agent, who was pretending to be Kash, “offered a 16-year-old cousin for commercial sex.”

As the conversation went on, Stevenson told her he was “interested in her” and agreed to meet up for $140, according to officials.

Lawyers for the 16-year-old said Stevenson was caught in October with the $140 in his car when he got to the place where they were meeting.

Stevenson admitted on June 13 that he had been trying to have sex with a young girl for money while he was a teacher.

When McClatchy News called University High School on June 14 to get a comment, they had not yet heard back.

Christopher Davis, who is serving as special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations San Diego, said in the release, “Mr. Stevenson was a trusted member of the community who preyed upon our most vulnerable youth.” “HSI is fully committed to working with law enforcement to save victims and aggressively look into claims of child sexual exploitation and trafficking for goods.” It is very important for anyone with knowledge about child sexual exploitation and trafficking to contact the police right away.

We asked Stevenson’s lawyer a question on June 14 and were waiting for an answer.

Officials say Stevenson will spend the rest of his life in jail and will have to serve at least 10 years.

He will go back to court in September to be sentenced, according to the report.
