CNS News– The Mexican food industry is a big one. Technavio says that the market for Mexican food will grow by 113.85 billion dollars by 2026. That could be why, according to ABC News, there are more Mexican restaurants in the U.S. than Chinese, Italian, or seafood places.
Just over 4,000 Mexican places can be found in Florida, which is what you might expect. Unfortunately, one of them had to close after a state check, but it looks like it’s now back open. That being said, I couldn’t find a website for Margarita Mexican Restaurant.
The menu has all the usual Mexican favorites, as well as some Florida favorites, like Cuban sandwiches and chicken wings. A Cuban sandwich costs $7.99 and fajitas start at $14.99, so the prices seem fair. People from Belle Glade rate this place 4.1 out of 5 stars. Most of them liked how real the food was. Annelyssa wrote in a review:
“We had the ceviche tostadas, which tasted super fresh and filled with flavor. I had Camarones a la Diabla, and I’m not lying when I say this is the best spicy shrimp dish I’ve ever had at a Mexican restaurant. This is for the true lovers of spicy! We also had fried snapper and churrasco, and everything was perfect. The service was excellent, even though the place was packed on a Friday night. (I) will be back when we’re in the area.”
What Did Happen During the Inspection?
A check was done on February 1, 2024, according to information from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Twenty violations were seen at that time. 9 were important.
One example of a basic violation was being told to get rid of dead roaches in the baking area.
In this case, an intermediate violation was food that was cooled using a “nonapproved method.” Some of the high-priority violations led to a stop-sale order. Temperatures above 41 degrees were said to be used to store cold foods like salsa and cooking rice juice.
Another serious violation was for supposedly flying insects in the kitchen and room where food was prepared. It was necessary to do a follow-up check, which was done on February 2, 2024. Still, 3 high-priority violations were found. Flying bugs and problems with the weather were still being reported. As this is written, there still needs to be a follow-up check.
