Former Wisconsin High School Coach Sentenced to 5 Years in Prison for Sharing Sexually Explicit Images
GREEN BAY, Wis.— U.S. Attorney Gregory Haanstad of the Eastern District of Wisconsin said on Tuesday that a man from Green Bay was given a five-year prison term for posting sexy pictures of children online.
Bryan S. Peterson, 46, will be on supervised release for seven years after his prison sentence is over. He also has to file as a sexual offender with both state and federal authorities.
The release says Peterson is a Oneida Tribal Court Baliff and used to teach football at a high school. At the beginning of 2024, detectives found an online account that turned out to belong to Peterson. Child pornography was being sent and received through the account.
On February 21, a search order at his home found several devices with sexual conversations about children and pictures of child pornography. At the sentence, Senior U.S. District Judge William Griesbach talked about how serious the crime was and how important it is to stop people from committing crimes like this.
