A mother in Tennessee was arrested after reportedly pulling a gun on a youngster who had pepper sprayed her daughter on the school bus.

The lady was upset when someone used pepper spray on her child after a brawl broke out on the bus carrying the pupils. Investigators in Middle Tennessee verified that the parent was arrested after flashing a gun about when the bus stopped.

The 36-year-old woman was charged with reckless endangerment, according to a Metropolitan Nashville Police Department news release. She was arrested on Thursday, September 12, after an altercation with the bus driver in charge of the vehicle transporting McGavock High School pupils, according to police.

According to the police statement, “Students on the bus got into a brawl, and one of them pepper sprayed others. The bus driver had pulled over. While doctors were treating a kid for pepper spray exposure, the suspect arrived on the scene and attempted to board the bus, but was stopped by the driver. She appeared unhappy that her daughter had been pepper sprayed.”

The statement goes on to describe how the lady returned to her car before returning to the area with a handgun and “began to wave it around… but did not point the gun at anyone,” police said. The father was then stopped by law authorities and arrested while still in the vehicle.

Police retrieved a firearm from the lady and stated that “aside from the pepper spray exposure, no one was injured.” McGavock High has slightly more than 2000 pupils in grades nine through twelve, according to USNews.com. Law enforcement officials have yet to reveal any details about the case. No information has been released about the child who was pepper sprayed.
