Homicide Investigation Has Begun After a 56-year-old Wisconsin Woman Was Discovered Dead With Several Gunshot Wounds
Eau Claire, Wisconsin — Wisconsin authorities are initiating a homicide investigation after a welfare check on Thursday revealed the body of a 56-year-old man shot and killed.
According to the Eau Claire Police Department, police responded to a residence in the 400 block of Gilbert Avenue just before 6:30 p.m. on Thursday to conduct a welfare check.
When authorities arrived, they discovered Michelle L. Jenkins, 56, dead. Jenkins suffered several gunshot wounds, according to the findings of the investigation. Members of the Eau Claire Police Department processed the crime scene and gathered evidence.
Detectives are conducting lengthy interviews and gathering new information. The suspect(s) have not yet been identified.
