Houston, TX – The Houston Police Department is on the hunt for a woman’s brother following a tragic incident that led to the death of her husband during a heated confrontation at an apartment complex in north Houston.
The shooting occurred around 9:00 p.m. at the Element Apartments on Greens Road, where the couple was in the midst of a divorce. According to police, tensions flared when the husband returned to the apartment, prompting an argument. Present in the residence were the woman, her brother, and three children.
The situation escalated into a physical altercation between the husband and the brother, which quickly intensified. Both men reportedly drew their firearms and exchanged gunfire. The husband was discovered in the stairway with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman sustained a gunshot wound to her leg and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The brother reportedly fled the scene, and authorities are actively investigating his whereabouts, as it remains unclear whether he sustained injuries during the exchange.
