Hurricane Helene’s Floodwaters Killed Two North Carolina Deputies, According to the Association
The North Carolina Sheriffs’ Association reports that two deputies were killed in Western North Carolina as a result of Hurricane Helene’s considerable flooding and hazardous conditions.
The deputies were from both the Macon County Sheriff’s Office and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
“We ask that you keep the families, friends, and colleagues of these deputies as well as the entirety of Western North Carolina in your thoughts and prayers during this unfathomable and difficult time,” according to the association.
