In the Mar-A-Lago Search, Donald Trump Makes the Crazy Claim That Joe Biden Was Ready to Kill Him
The Washington Post reported that on Tuesday, Donald Trump made the ridiculous claim that Vice President Joe Biden was “locked & loaded ready to take me out” during the FBI’s search for classified documents at Mar-a-Lago in 2022. This was the first time in modern U.S. history that a former president said his vice president was trying to kill him.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) said on X (formerly Twitter) that Biden’s Justice Department and FBI “planned to assassinate Pres. Trump and gave the green light.” She said that she thought Trump knew about it. She wrote, “What are Republicans going to do about it?”
The president, who has been charged four times, and his allies changed the standard language in the search order for Mar-a-Lago that allows deadly force if needed.
It was “standard protocol” for the FBI to search for the warrant, as it is for all search warrants. This included following a standard policy statement that said officers could not use deadly force.
The FBI said, “No one told anyone else to do anything else, and there was nothing out of the ordinary about this.”
The bureau already told the court that it planned the raid for a day when Trump would not be there and told the Secret Service about it to avoid any problems, the Post said.

While Trump was in court for a day for his hush money hearing, his campaign team made the most of the time.
