Kaukauna Woman Arrested for Burglary After Causing $230K in Water Damage to Newly Constructed Homes
KAUKAUNA, WI — Officers in Kaukauna said an arrest has been made in a criminal damage investigation involving around $230,000 in damages to newly built residences in the area between 2021 and 2024.
According to a Kaukauna Police Department press release, on September 24, investigators arrested a Kaukauna lady on four counts of Criminal Damage to Property and four counts of Burglary. Officers said she was being held at the Outagamie County Jail at the time of the arrest.
During the Kaukauna police investigation, it was determined that the lady allegedly broke into recently constructed residences in the vicinity and turned on numerous water fittings. The water was kept on, causing major water damage to the dwellings.
Authorities believe that the damage exceeds $230,000.
Due to the ongoing investigation and the possibility of additional unidentified homes in this case, Kaukauna officers are requesting that local contractors, builders, or homeowners contact Detective Kohl to report any suspicious activity or damage to homes that may have gone unreported over the last five years.
