Man Accidentally Texts Mississippi Cop ‘Bruh, We Smoke All the Time’
Someone sent a funny text message to a Gulfport, Mississippi, police officer telling him to get together to “smoke.”
The Gulfport Police Department released a text message conversation between an unknown person and an officer. The officer used his sense of fun to help someone who sent a message to the wrong person.
At around 10 p.m. on Friday, the first text message was sent, asking what someone he thought was a friend was doing.
The cop wrote, “Chillin’, hbu [how about you]?”
Someone out of the blue asked, “Wanna smoke?”
When asked to smoke with them, the cop wrote back, “I don’t think I’ll be able to.”
The other guy said, “Dude, we smoke all the time.”
The police officer told the person that they probably had the wrong phone number, but the person kept calling.
“Bruh, stop making fun of or lying,” the person wrote.
Instead of talking to the person, the cop took a picture of himself with his badge and sent it to them.
The officer wrote, “No cap [lie or joke].”
The department shared screenshots of the text message exchange and gave people some tips on Facebook.
“Tip: Check the number twice before you send the text. “Giving someone a text message from the wrong number is a great way to make their day,” cops wrote.
People shared the post on social media, and one person wrote, “Honestly, I would’ve changed my number that moment!!!”
“The way I would have thrown my phone across the room when I saw that picture!” wrote someone else. It would have scared me all day to pick it up again! I feel bad for this person on second thought.”
