Man Attacks Woman and Shoots Dog Over Noise Complaint, Port Vue Police Report
Police say a man pistol-whipped a woman and killed her dog after she asked him to turn down the music. He is now being charged.
On July 20, the event took place in the 900 block of Elmwood Street.
John Lee Mack Jr., 27, was arrested by police when they arrived. They then found a woman lying next to her dead German Shepherd.
According to court records, the woman told cops that she had seizures and asked Mack to turn down his car radio because it was too loud for her.
She told the cops that he turned up the radio before crossing the street to talk to her.
Mack told the cops that the victim said something to him that made him angry, which is why he turned on the radio.
After that, he supposedly got scared that the dog would attack him. That’s why Mack shot the dog and pistol-whipped the woman, he said: “She was telling the dog to “get him.”
Mack is being charged with many things, such as aggravated cruelty to animals and aggravated violence.
