The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect after a man died in an alleged road rage incident on Highway 301 in Riverview.
According to HCSO Public Information Coordinator Casey Minuto, deputies arrived around 2:15 p.m. Sunday to a report of a man being shot on Highway 301 at Bloomingdale Avenue.
Deputies discovered the man with upper-body wounds and transported him to Brandon Regional Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
“At this point in the investigation, our detectives have learned that our suspect did flee the scene,” Minuto told reporters.
Little is known about the incident, although Minuto stated that, according to preliminary findings from police, “one vehicle had cut off another one,” resulting in a brawl before the guy was slain.
