Mother in Florida Reportedly Tries to Drown Her Possessed, Devil Toddler for Knocking Over a Plant
A Florida mom is accused of attempting to drown her “possessed, devil” toddler in the bathtub after the child knocked over a potted plant, according to arrest papers obtained by FOX 35 Orlando.
According to a news release from the Daytona Beach Police Department, Karina Mustafa, 29, was arrested on June 7 and charged with aggravated child abuse. She was taken to the Volusia County jail.
According to the cops, around 12:45 p.m. on June 7, they were called to a call about a toddler who almost drowned.
When the police looked into it, they found that the disturbance started when the father found the child unresponsive in the bathtub.
It was found that Mustafa was guilty for almost drowning after more research.
FOX 35 Orlando was able to receive an arrest affidavit that said the toddler was playing outside on the lawn in front of the house when the child knocked over some potted plants, covering the toddler in dirt and muddy water.
Following the accident, Mustafa got into a fight with the toddler’s father, which led her to take the child and lock them in the bathroom together to “clean up the mess.”
The toddler’s face was covered in bathtub water before the door was opened by Mustafa, according to the arrest records. The father found the child unconscious in the bathtub.
Officers said the father was able to save the child’s life and bring him back to life. The child was then taken to a nearby hospital for further testing.
According to the affidavit, Mustafa told detectives that she hit the child because she pulled her fingers “and damaged her nails.” She also said that she held the toddler’s face down in the water on purpose.
According to the statement, Mustafa then said that the child’s behavior problems were “out of control” and that it was affecting her relationship with the child’s father. Police say Mustafa also thought the child was “possessed” and that “the diablo” (the Devil) was in their life.
She has no bond and is being held in the Volusia County jail.
