Murdered Arizona Woman Leaves Behind Two Young Children as Husband is Sentenced to Prison for Her Murder
Nicole Paduchowski’s family and friends are coming out after her husband admitted to killing her after a weeks-long search.
“Hello Friends, I haven’t been on Facebook in a long time, but I’m back now so that people who knew my twin sister Kelly Paduchowski when she was young can see how much her death has affected me and my family. Lindsey McFall, Kelly’s twin sister, wrote in a post, “And the whole city of Flagstaff.”
“I feel your love and support, and I need it. Thank you so much to everyone who has sent it to me. “Thanks.”
A GoFundMe page says that Kelly leaves behind two young children, ages 7 and 9.
The giving page says that the money will be used to pay for her children’s school and child care.
“The community has come together, and we want to thank everyone who was involved in searching for Kelly when she was assumed missing and all who have shown and expressed their support and love for Kelly and her family,” the post said.
The husband of Kelly, Daniel Paduchowski, 58, told police on June 30 that his 45-year-old wife Kelly never came back from a run and a swim. The Flagstaff Police Department said in a news conference Friday that this was a “attempt to misdirect police resources.”
He was caught on Monday for aggravated assault, and his wife’s body was found Friday morning after being searched for almost a week.
Daniel Paduchowski pleaded guilty on Friday to second-degree murder, messing with evidence, hiding a dead body, and having dangerous drugs on his person. Michael Tunink, a senior criminal attorney at the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, said this.
According to Tunink, Paduchowski will have to spend 16 years in prison in Arizona because of the plea deal. This is “the presumptive sentence for second-degree murder under Arizona law,” and he will not be able to get out of jail early “of any kind.”
Tunink said, “As part of that agreement, the defendant gave us information that led us to Kelly Paduchowski, the deceased victim.” This included her phone, keys, and the murder weapon.
Friends and coworkers of Kelly’s shared their shock on social media after she was killed.
“The last time I had a real conversation with Kelly was Thursday of last week,” I told her I would bring her some of my homemade laundry soap so she could try it. Fellow worker and friend of Kelly’s Robin Cook wrote in a post, “It’s still in my car.”
It was through Sambatuque that I knew Kelly and her solar business. I live at the street’s southern end…Plenty of people in town worry about you, Lindsay McFall, her children, and the rest of her family. It’s been a terrible event for the whole neighborhood, wrote Bonnie Feather, who lives next door to Kelly and Daniel.
On Friday, Tunink told the press, “This is a huge tragedy for Kelly’s family and her loved ones.” “We’ve been in close communication with Kelly’s family throughout this process about this resolution, which we pursued to bring finality in a situation that has weighed heavily on this community.”
The Coconino County District Attorney’s Office told Fox News Digital that they don’t have any more information at this time because the investigation is still going on.
