Names Released in Fatal Texas Van Crash: Four Dead, Ten Injured in Wise County Incident
A news statement from the Texas Department of Public Safety says that the names of the four people killed and ten others hurt in a single-vehicle crash in Wise County on Wednesday have been released.
The DPS says the van accident happened in the southbound lanes of U.S. 287 in Alvord just before 8 a.m.
Based on the early probe, the driver of a Chevrolet Express 3500 van went off the left side of the highway where it was traveling. The report says the driver overcorrected and lost control, which made the car flip over.
The DPS said that several people were thrown out of the van, which was meant to hold 15. Investigators said that only one person in the car was wearing a seatbelt.
Three guys were found dead at the scene. Their names are Diony Antoine, 46; JN Irard Vixamar, 42; and Ledene Pierre-Louis, 36. The report says that Antoine was driving the car.
Fourteen people were on board, and Geneve Louis, 28, was declared dead at Medical City Denton hospital, according to the DPS.
The 10 other people who were hurt were taken to hospitals in Fort Worth and Denton. These people were named:

The victims were from Haiti and lived in Florida. They were on their way from Florida to New Mexico, according to the report. The reason for their trip has not been revealed by the authorities, but the DPS investigation proved that the travelers were not victims of human trafficking or smuggling, as the news release says.
