According to court documents, McKinzie Merrell, 31, was arrested on Wednesday, September 18, and released the same day.

She has been charged with hurting a kid.

According to the arrest affidavit, security footage from the day of the injury shows Merrell with her left arm around the child’s shoulders, leading him outside with his right hand.

It reads: “Merrell appears to be upset.” “Merrell releases the child victim and walks solemnly along the fence.”

According to the documentation, two teachers said that Merrell informed them the youngster struck her and kicked her shins, but this was not captured on the security camera.

According to the affidavit, Merrell stated that the child was trying to pull away, but she wasn’t tugging too hard, and she didn’t recall him saying anything hurtful.

Background of the incident.

A kindergartener is healing after his parents claim his teacher shattered his fingers at school.

Donte and Tabathe Moore’s son recently began kindergarten at Pflugerville Elementary School. He’s five years old and has autism. On September 4, they observed that he was not acting like himself after school.

They transported him to the hospital. Doctors discovered fractures in his ring and middle fingers. The case was referred to CPS and Pflugerville ISD police for investigation.

The Moores say their son told another teacher that his hand hurt.

The teacher claimed self-defense.

The Moores have subsequently transferred their kid to a different school, but he still has school-related anxiety.
